World Wide Web |
The World Wide Web is the portion of the Internet that stores pages of information in a specific, consistent format. These pages may contain text and graphics, as well as animation, sound and video. You can access a specific page if you know its address on the Web (its URL). Or you can use a Search Engine to find the URLs of pages that contain the words or phrases you are interested in. There is much more to know about the Web that you can learn from the W3 Consortium Site. |
