Model of a conversation from a presentation given with Jay Cross on networked learning as part of a seminar by Vivo.

PRESENTATION

Society Without School = Conversations + Learning + Networks

Brief Outline

Society requires the coordination of human action

Coordination is achieved through conversation

All learning takes place in conversation

School was intended for learning but is overly constrained

Today we can design better conversations for learning

Network conversations achieve new contexts and types of learning

We may choose what we choose to design, that is, we may engage in metadesign
