36: Reviewing Search results

When the search is complete, you can review the list of objects and select those that you want to examine in detail

The results from a Search, called "hits," appear in the lower part of the Intraspect Search dialog as a list of references with meta data that specifies the author, the creation date and the context. Refer to screen shot

Like the Details view in Windows Explorer, you can adjust the column widths by moving the thin bars between the column names. Adjust the columns as necessary.

Mouse on column dividers to adjust widths
  1. The What column displays the name of each object that contains a match to the query, with an icon indicating its type (an e-mail message, Web page, specific document type, folder, user, etc.).
  2. The Score column rates how well this object matches your search query.
  3. The Who and When columns display the author and the creation date, respectively.
  4. The Where column displays the context for the object.

You can view the contents of any "hit" by double-clicking on it, as shown in the next page
